The Blue Cross Blue Shield Association has named Monica Auciello as chief legal officer and general counsel.
Ms. Auciello was most recently chief legal officer for startup insurer Sidecar Health, according to an April 16 news release. She was also previously senior vice president of legal affairs and policy and general counsel at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island.
"Monica's leadership will help BCBSA effectively navigate this increasingly complex time in healthcare," BCBSA CEO Kim Keck said. "Her deep business understanding paired with her legal expertise and knowledge of public policy, regulatory issues and compliance will support our continued competitive success."
