Thomas Lee, MD, Press Ganey's chief medical officer, has joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts' board of directors.
Dr. Lee will serve on the board's finance and business performance committee and the healthcare quality and affordability committee, according to a Feb. 7 BCBS Massachusetts news release.
At Press Ganey, a healthcare performance improvement consulting firm, Dr. Lee is responsible for developing clinical and operational strategies to help providers measure and improve the patient experience, according to the release.
Dr. Lee is also a practicing internist and cardiologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, as well as a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and a professor of Health Policy and Management at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, both of which are in Boston.
