Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is expanding its mental healthcare options in response to in-person and virtual visits for those services doubling since 2019.
According to a Nov. 30 news release, the insurer is adding multiple mental health providers to its network:
- Talkiatry: A national primary mental health provider that specializes in telehealth psychiatric therapy, in-person therapy and medication management.
- Still We Rise: A mental healthcare provider promoting culturally-affirming practices.
- DynamiCare: A digital recovery platform that helps people quit or moderate their use of alcohol, drugs and tobacco.
The payer said that in the coming months it plans to add specialty mental health for provider groups focused on severe eating disorders and autism, according to the release. It is also working to add more national virtual mental health groups in 2023.
