The annual limit on HSA contributions for individuals with self-only coverage is rising to $4,300 in 2025 from $4,150 in 2024, the IRS said May 9.
The annual limit on HSA contributions for family coverage will increase to $8,550 from $8,300 in 2024.
In 2025, a high-deductible health plan will be defined as having a deductible of at least $1,650 for self-only coverage, up from $1,600 in 2024. Annual out-of-pocket expenses (deductibles, co-payments, and other amounts, but not premiums) cannot exceed $8,300 for self-only coverage.
Deductibles must be at least $3,300 for family coverage in 2025, up from $3,200. Annual out-of-pocket expense expenses cannot exceed $16,600 for family coverage
The expected benefit HRA limit will be $2,150 in 2025, up from $2,100.
