UnitedHealthcare and Humana account for 46 percent of the 28.4 million people enrolled in Medicare Advantage plans in 2022, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation. 

Here are the seven payers with the most Medicare Advantage enrollees in 2022:

1. UnitedHealthcare — 7.9 million

2. Humana — 5 million

3. Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans — 4.1 million

4. CVS Health — 3.1 million

5. Kaiser Permanente — 1.8 million

6. Centene — 1.4 million
