Known as Apple Health Expansion, the program is open to all noncitizens ages 19 to 64 with incomes up to 138% of the federal poverty rate. Coverage begins July 1 for primary, specialty, dental, behavioral, pharmacy, vision and transportation services.
Washington provides CHIP coverage to all income-eligible children, regardless of immigration status. It was also the first state to allow noncitizens to purchase coverage on the ACA marketplace.
