Cigna and Toledo, Ohio-based ProMedica have reached a verbal agreement for 2023, the Toledo Blade reported Dec. 21.
ProMedica sent letters to Cigna members Dec. 5 stating that the system would go out of network if the two sides were unable to reach a new deal by Jan. 1.
A ProMedica spokesperson told the Blade the system is arranging to remain in Cigna's network while the contracts are being finalized.
